I don’t know about any of you, but music has a huge influence on my life. One of my previous roommates, Nettie, used to get frustrated with me when I could respond to anything she asked me with lyrics from a song. I think Hans Christian Andersen was right when he said “Where words fail, music speaks.” These are some of the pieces or furniture and accessories that spoke to me.

Turntable Clock   This is a handmade recycled turntable clock! It’s customizable to the record that you’d like. It was sold on Etsy, but unfortunately it’s not available anymore and the link I had to it doesn’t reveal who the creative shop owner was. For shame!
Cassette’s Not Dead Floor Lamp by ooomydesign  The  ”Cassette’s Not Dead Floor Lamp” (shown above) by ooomydesign is what they call “a tribute to the cassette tape.” Held together by only string, it’s constructed in a way that makes it able to take out and replace different tapes, just in case you want to listen to one of them (if you even have something that you can play them on anymore.) Click here to purchase or to see more images.
 Cassette Chair
The “Nostalgia Chair” is also a design my ooomydesign. It has a walkman attached to its side! See above link for more information.Piano Table    Here is the Piano Table. Unfortunately, the original link to the website isn’t working, but I found another blog with plenty of pictures on it (thanks, Google!) Bahraini Diva’s blog has plenty of pictures of the piano table, more that do it justice. Click here to check out her blog.

iTable by Mirko Ginepro
This iTable by Mirko Ginepro is made of Corian. It was made for Milan’s Design Week, and is now residing in a hotel and another in an art gallery. Ginepro said toCult of Mac “The idea was to take an object that didn’t start out as furniture and turn it in into something useful.” Well done!
Panda Chair by Belen Hermosa Not using those blank CD’s anymore since you have your flash drive? Take after Belen Hermosa and turn them into a chair. The Panda Chair is made of hundreds of CD’s lined in rows. (Gizmodo)

Piano Table by Georg Bohle
The “Piano Table” by Georg Bohle is a table that comes with a ready to use piano inside of it. I don’t know about you, but I’d be afraid to set my glass of red wine down on this table. Wonderful, nonetheless! (Behance)

Pavel Sidorenko, a talented designer from Estonia, creates unique clocks by laser cutting recycled vinyl records into familiar shapes. These are far better than those melted vinyl ash trays you see around.

A Clock a Day by WoodstockClocks on Etsy allows you to be creative and design your own clock each day because it’s a white board. I love it!

Find the Time Wall Clock is a metal clock that resembles a word search in which the hours are hidden clues. This is a very clever idea! If you want more, you can look for the fourteen other words that are hidden in this clock or buy your own here.
