So, I’m getting around to making my bedroom look a little more presentable. I still have some things to do (like add throw pillows, get some art, and small details)  but I’ll worry about that later. For now, you can kinda get the idea I’m going for. Green, white, leaves, pretty!
I did make a big whoopsie… I bought a dresser without considering the width of the drawers vs. closet doors, so I ended up having to take them off. I don’t regret it for a second! I love my curtains! I’m on a serious budget, so I used a lot of things I already had. For example, I had fabric left over from the background of my portfolio review display from graduating (last year!) and reused them as backgrounds on select cork boards, and also as tie backs for my closet curtains. The color scheme just came from odds and ends I already had: green lamp, gold piggy bank (I’d LOVE to paint my bed frame gold at some point!) white end tables. I ended up buying a duvet cover from IKEA, closet curtains, and a dresser. It’s starting to come together quite nicely!

I have a little crush on these powder coated iron chairs designed by Gaurav Nanda. They’re available at Bend Seating at the price of $425 each.
“Our wire chairs are made up of intricate arrangements of wires or lines through a hand crafted method of shaping and spot welding, a process we like to call ‘bending.’ Each bend is carefully arranged to ensure structural strength, while the angles of the back, the curves of the seat, and the closeness of the wires are designed to encourage relaxation and utility.” For more pictures, view the following links. Merry Christmas! I’m still looking for designers that wouldn’t mind being featured in my interior design blog. I get a lot of inspiration from other designers, and that’s what you are. I started a thread called “Featured Fridays” which showcases a designer every week. I post it on a lot of different sites, so it can’t hurt to get your name out there! You can be a student, in the business, an expert, an event planner, or have years of experience under your belt. E-mail a short biography with something you like/love/need/want/are inspired by/have to have and a picture of you if you’re interested. Are you?

Flip Storage Sleeper Sofa This would really be perfect for our guest room, which doubles as my sewing room. The added storage is an awesome bonus.

This is the most perfect bed I have ever laid my eyes on. WANT!
